Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

carry concealed weapon

Hi there:

I have a problem and I need your legal advice. The company I am currently working where we used to get robbed. Several employees have decided to have guns and keep inside the company.

Last Friday, I took the gun home and went to practice shooting on Saturday.

Monday, I took the gun to work but I forgot to take the gun out of my laptop bag. The gun and the magazine (the amno are in the magazine). Both are kept together in the bag.

Tuesday, I went to Court House to get some advise regarding my winning case. ( I won the case against my landlord, but he still refuse to return my deposit.) I went to the Court House at least 3 times already. I have a very good clear record. When I went there, I got arrested at the spot. First, they charge me with felony. Then, at the hearing date, the charge was dropped to misdemeanor. Should I plea guilty or not? I was offered a probation for 2 years with 45 days community service, no fighting, no gun for 10 years. If I break this probation, I go to jail. I have no reason to bring the gun to court. Thank you for any advice you can give me

Re: carry concealed weapon

Hello, you are in a very serious situation. Taking a gun to a court house is a very bad idea. Even charged witha misdemeanor the long term ramification of this conviction are serious. You should not plead guilty without talking to an attorney first. Our firm has been handling cases similar to this for many years. Call us at 1-800-327-4652 for a free consultation.
