Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I changed my name some time ago in one state. After that I was issued a warrant in another under charges on my old name. Will the warrant also be active on my new name even though it was changed before hand? Also, my driver's license has my new name on it, is it still connected to my old name if an officer were to run it at a traffic stop?

The warrant is for you, regardless of your new name. It is still valid despite your name change. Connecting the dots may be harder now, but that's another matter.

Police may very well realize the warrant is for you if you are pulled over; after all, the system probably has your social security number and can identify you you that way.
