Criminal record removal

If someone was charged with prostitution back in 1994, in California. And complied with everything she was supposed to have done by the court. What are the chances/steps to take to get the charge removed or sealed from her record? Is it possible? Is it costly?

Thanks for your posting. You may apply with the court for an "expungement", under section �1203.4 of the Penal Code, which will remove the case from your record. It is possible, so long as you (or her) did all the terms of the sentence and had no other cases during probation.

The previous attorney is correct. This is something you can do yourself, but often times an expungement is easier with an attorney. We can help guide you through the process.
