da rejection

i was reading that on my friends profile for disposition it states DA rejection and I would like to know exactly what it means?

It means that the DA declined to file charges for some reason.

It can either mean that no charges were or will be filed and the case is closed. It could also mean that the case was submitted to the DA and they sent it back to the police for clarification of something in the report or additional information.

It means that the D.A. is not really that into your friend....

No, Really it means that after reading the police reports and recommendations to prosecute your friend, the D.A., for whatever reason decided not to file any charges at all. That would not bar the police from doing further evidence gathering or investigation and then submitting it again, but generally this means it's over.

Sounds like your friend was being investigated but the DA decided not to file charges. Probably insufficient evidence or there was something which interfered with the DA's ability to build a good case.
