Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Where do i find someone who can and will help me prove via the proof i have that major perjury accured in my husbands case when his beliefs are what they are and are immoral but not illegal. I believe the citrus heights police problem goes beyond my husbands case. We cant allow officers to do this to people yet i keep being told with proof in hand that thats just what they do but no its not what they are supposed to do its wrong and is why this state prison sgstem is what it is my husband is a jackass with his stupid beliefs but a juvinille casehe took for his dad 20 yrs ago and a fist fight along with his current case for a lab still is not reason to give him 75 yrs + 9 to life. I could kill 2 people n b out before him. That is not ok nobody should be sentenced longer than a murderer PERIOD it lessons the severity of murder i dont know how to do something about this and it isnt jus my husband its for our society my husband is only the example of far bigger problem who has the courage and standing to address this i have proof of the lies and his attorney was not willing to make it an issue for i believe his own unwillingness to work n do what is right

It's hard to offer any guidance, since you haven't told us what the case was about, why you think someone committed perjury (or even who it was), or what beliefs you feel were the actual basis for your husband's conviction or sentence.

You also haven't said when any of this happened. Your husband may be able to bring post-trial motions and/or file an appeal, but there are deadlines for these things and I can't say whether they have already passed.

Has your husband's lawyer explained why he is unwilling to take the steps you feel he should take? Since I don't know his reasons, I can't say whether I agree with them.

Your husband should contact another lawyer if he wants a second opinion. If he wants to appeal, he should contact an appellate lawyer. I'm a certified appellate specialist (per the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization) with many years of experience, and I'd be happy to discuss the case with you. Feel free to contact me directly.

I agree... Not sure what the Citrus Heights police were supposed to have done or what the case may even be..

I agree with my colleagues. There is way too little information for me to try to second guess his attorney. But you have got to understand that not all lies affect the guilt or innocence of the defendant. Likewise not every act of police misconduct will affect the defendant's guilt or innocence. Not all "proof" of perjury is sufficient to convict a person of perjury beyond a reasonable doubt.
