Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I just found out that the mother of my children was charged with CA PC 273 a(b) in 2006. Is there any way that I can get more information on what happened to cause the charge and how it was resolved. She recently committed battery against me and I am concerned what else may be going on.

It sounds like she is starting to show a pattern of violence. 2006 was a few years ago, but the fact that she recently committed a battery against you suggests that she has not taken care of her problem or is still subject to abuse issues. I would suggest hiring a private investigator to do a back ground check on her to see if there are other incidents in her past.

As for what happened in 2006, you could go to the court house in the county where the trial and/or incident occurred and take a look at the court file. They are public record.
