Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my friends husband had two affairs, when he left the woman from the first affair, after she had learned he left with another woman, she suspiciously pressed charges for rape, her mother and stepfather used to rent from the alleged rapist. they were kicked out for refusing to pay an outrageous electric bill, and have held a grudge ever since, any way, the woman from the second affair verrified that he never raped or mistreated her in anyway. The mother of the alleged victim, has threatened to sue his wife for everything the two own, which legally everything belongs to the wife, can my friend really be brought into a civil suit for the criminal charges against her husband?

Your question isn't clear. Are you asking whether the mother of an adult who denies being raped can sue the wife of the man she says raped her daughter? The answer to that question is that she can file such a suit but, unless there is more to the case, it should fail. But I'm not entirely sure this is what you're asking -- or that you have provided all the necessary information.
