Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Someone came into my home and took nothing but medical marijuana from my home. It's legal. I live in CA and have a medical marijuana card. Is it safe to report to police I'm nervous about reporting it. I know it's legal but I had a decent amount (8 chocolate bars and 2/gram smokeable) I dont know with police how much they consider enough to accuse you of being a dealer . But it's the second time and I'm concerned about the Breaking and entering-this is the second time.

Technically it is not legal to have marijuana. Marijuana is illegal at the federal level and on the state level in California outside of the medical marijuana program. The medical marijuana card does not prevent arrest, it is supposed to create a defense to prosecution.

Because of that rule, there is no way an attorney can guarantee that you are safe from arrest if you report it.
