Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My mother was in an ICU and her heart rate went upto over 140 because the hospital staff decreased the oxygen level. My mother lost her saturation, blood pressure and heart rate after one short of liquid heart medication. The doctor refused to intubate her by lying in front of me and more than 15 of their medical staff in the ICU that my mother's lung was already not functioning and the oxygen from the vent could not circulate to her brain, heart and etc even my mother was intubated. He finally had to give my mother medications to bring her heart rate and heart pressure up because my mother's arm moved a little bit. I asked another doctor to intubate my mother the next morning and saved her life. Do I have a viable case?

Your questions sounds like it belongs in the personal injury section rather than the criminal law section. You may want to re-post it there.

Good luck.

I received your email. There is some confusion here.

You are in the wrong category for this question. You don't have a criminal law issue, you have a civil law issue. That is why the other attorney & I said you need to post in personal injury. I was not agreeing with you or answering your question ("yes, they have a case,") I was agreeing with Mr. Hoffman ("yes they belong in the civil section.")

Civil Litigation, specifically "Medical Malpractice," if LawGuru has that specific category. I practice criminal defense only. A good attorney will not charge you, they will take the case on a contingency. If (they believe) you have a case.

From your zip code it appears you are in the LA/ Hacienda Heights area. One med mal attorney, Tom Cifarelli, I know is in Irvine. You can run it by him - he will let you know if you have a case. Years ago (1994-5) I did Med Mal Law on the defense side in LA and Tom was on the other side of my cases. You need a Medical Malpractice Plaintiff Firm. If no permanent injury (god forbid) as a result of the alleged negligence, there may be no recovery possible.

But call Tom (or email) and get his opinion.
