parolee search warrant procedures

is it legal for police to do forced entry under pretense of probation/parolee search while leasee isnt present

Re: parolee search warrant procedures

Police can search a probationer's home or vehicle without a warrant whether he is present or not, provided that the terms of his probation allow such searches (most do). I don't know why you think this was a mere pretense; what do you believe was really going on?
