Re: Posesstion

This is something to discuss with your attorney. You can only drag things out for so long before the judge makes you either take a plea or go forward to preliminary hearing or trial.

Assuming you never waived time, you will be out until your preliminary hearing (whenever that's set), then 15 days until they file the information, then a maximum of 60 days before trial.

You may be able to waive time for a while at each stage, but if you're simply delaying to stay out, you're hurting yourself. You can't be punished for exercising your constitutional right to a jury trial, but they can reward you for pleading guilty early by giving you the best deal early in the stage of the game.

Talk to your lawyer - that's why you're paying them.

Sounds like you need to talk to an experienced criminal law attorney. It's too difficult to give you a solid answer to your question without knowing more about the current offense, your criminal history, and the reasons you need to stay out of custody. Call an attorney as soon as possible.
