CEO gives negative reference

I was risk manager for a hospital in which my job was eliminated due to down structuring. I have recently applied for a risk manager position at another hospital within the same system. I have learned that the previous CEO has given me a negative reference as being a ''trouble maker'' which is I feel is unjustified. Is there anything I can do? I'm 62 years old.

We recommend you contact an attorney in your area if you feel the treatment you have been receiving is due to your age or complaining of illegal activity.
