Emotional Distress Compensation
I filed a discrimination complaint(through my union)against my supervisor. The company investigated and ruled in my favor. They've agreed to promote me with retroactive pay for 3 years, approx. $35,000. They're also willing to pay for emotional distress and want me to suggest a dollar amount. What would you consider adequate additional compensation for 3 years of heartache? 20% of my settlement? 200% ? Help!
