Legal Question in DUI Law in California

backing out of the garage

i was backing out of my garage into the alley way. when i accidentally hit a car that was parked in the alleyway. In the alley there is a sign that clearly states '' no parking in the ally.'' I am wondering weather i am only partly responsible or if i am fully responsible for the damages that i established toward the plantiffs car.

Re: backing out of the garage

You submitted your question under the section for drinking and driving. If you were drinking you will probably have to pay for all of the damages. Liability will turn on the facts in your case. Such as the width of the alley, where the other car was parked in relation to your exit into the alley. Your insurance company should take care of the liability issue for you.
