blood alcohol reading

A reading done 5 hours after an accident which shattered the pelvis,bladder, tore urethra and prostrate- how accurate is that?

It would have to be tested by an outside lab immediately. Keep in mind that if the BAL taken 5 hours after the accident was high, the prosecution is going to argue that it had to have been higher at the time of the accident. If the BAL was still very high, you are going to need to hire experts to prove that either the test was bad, or that something else cause the levels.
