Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Hi,

A few months ago i got a DUI; I'm already enrolled in DUI classes. My question is can use 150cc moped as transportation w/o a licence in California (San Diego)? Do I need insurance?

No. A moped is a motor vehicle under California law. You need a class M2 (moped/motorized bicycle) license or an M1 (all motorcycles) license to ride one.

In fact, if your license is suspended, it is even illegal for you to ride a moped just by pedaling, even if you never start the motor. If your license is suspended for the DUI, you're facing a charge of Vehicle Code 14601.2, which has a mandatory minimum of ten days in jail.
