Legal Question in Education Law in California

Hello LawGuru Team,

I am a Spanish teacher in Los Angeles, California and I would like to know if I, by law, supposed to provide a parent the percentage of students in the class who did not pass their final examination?

My guess would be no but you should go to your principal and drop it in their lap so there is a unified approach in school and the District. you should also probably gather the records of that student who failed so that you can show your supervisor that that student would not have passed even if the final examination were not counted. If you have a cowardedly principal, you might contact the school's legal counsel, without giving your name, and find out what the District's position is.
