Legal Question in Education Law in California

a private California college changed my financial aid award after i had previously signed and paid the enrollement deposit. With only two weeks before the semester is scheduled to begin. They have changed the need based aid yet my need has not changed and did so on 8/15/12 yet indicated this is done on a cases my case status and in some cases need based aid doesnt change. So how is it that i have been so fortunate and now i can no longer attend any college for that matter. Any suggestions ?
