Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

hi, I am in the music business. A record label asked me to sign an agreement on "transfer of copyright" exclusively to a reversion of my song, does that mean once I signed the agreement, I am not the copyright owner of the song anymore?

And does it only mean the Version of the song or the whole song in any versions?

Thank you

A music artist, depending on the circumstances, owns many different forms of rights under copyright law for a specific song. The artist's rights can be transferred as a bundle or as slivers. In order to understand what rights under copyright law you are transferring will depend on the terms of the agreement. I highly recommend that you consult an intellectual property attorney in your area to review your agreement or feel free to contact my office for a consultation.
