Legal Question in Family Law in California

im 7 months pregnant an im trying to get some information before my baby comes. I am not with the baby's father anymore and i plan on giving my baby my last name. My question is will it cause any problems when it comes to the father paying child support since they have different last names?

No. You shouldn't have any problems. However, you will need to establish paternity through court order before you can get child support.
