My own business & Divorce

My wife and I have been having maritial problems. I want to start my own small business on the side as a pt venture. If my wife and I divorce after I start the business would she be entitled to half of it?

In a general sense, if the business is started prior to the separation, it is a community property asset. There are a number of variables when discussing the categorization of a business started after the date of separation.
