Legal Question in Family Law in California

California Recognition of Foreign Divorce

My husband and I were married in

California, and are about to get a

Dominican divorce (for expediency).

It looks like California recognizes

divorces executed in foreign

jurisdictions. Once I've completed

the Dominican divorce, is there

anything that I need to file here in

California so that it is acknowledged

here?
