can a judgement for child support made in an English court be enforced in California?

Do you mean a court in Great Britan? There are enforcement of child support order treaties that provide for the enforcement of child support orders from other countries in the United States. Most Western European countries are signatories to these treaties. Therefore California would most likely enforce such an order.
