Legal Question in Family Law in California

Collecting on A judgment

I am waiting for a declaration and Writ of execution from the county but need to know if there as anything else I can do to collect my judgment. I have already filed an abstract of judgment with the county recorders office. When can I lien personal property or garnish wages?

I would call the local sheriff to see what steps they need to collect on your judgement. The sheriff can process servers can often assist with garnishments.

Good luck. Please consult with a local attorney prior to taking any legal action.
