Legal Question in Family Law in California

conservatorship

i have a disable son 19. why is it he is an adult dependant child in child support services and an adult in conservator court. I no longer want to participate in child support and want him to be placed in a state ran facility and the mother is fighting me. What do I do? I have paid all my obligations. Is he adult or child. Can I have visitation in the child support court or not?
