Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex is the custodial parent and our son has done poorly in school for years and she has washed her hands of him (her words). Can I file an osc to have the court order her to be proactive with our son, to use the support I pay to hire him an tutor. How would I word it and is the FL-300 all I would need.

You would get nowhere. The court cannot order child support be spent in any particular way, nor can the court micro-manage how she raises your son. Your only option would be to seek custody, or to hire a tutor yourself and ask for an order that she pay half. Contact the Family Law Facilitator or Self-Help office about the forms to use.
