Divorce

Ilive in Louisiana and my Wife lives in California, we were married in California and have a 14 year old daughter. Do I have to file for divorce in California, or can I file in Louisiana.

You will have to talk to a Louisianna attorney about the specifics, but you can file there so long as you meet the specific residency requirements. However, child custody can only be decided where the child resides. So you may need to come out to California anyway, and may want to consider filing here. If you were to file in California, you would need to file in the County where the mother has resided for at least the last 3 months.
