Legal Question in Family Law in California

Family law: My in laws got guardianship of my daughter a year ago because I was homeless and on drugs. Since then, I have gotten off drugs and entered a recovery program where I test and go to four NA meetings a week and one on ones with a counselor. I am no longer homeless. What do I have to do to get my daughter back from her grandparents who hardly even let me see her unless they are present?

You need to file a petition to terminate the guardianship. The forms are available online or from the clerk of the Superior Court. Some local bar associations sponsor guardianship clinic that can help you with filing the forms. At a minimum you can file a motion to get more visitation from the grandparents.
