Legal Question in Family Law in California

family law

I have a 15 yr old daughter who did not earn all her credits in freshman yr and was in constant trouble--smoking, drugs, stealing, run away, ditching, ...... I want to send her to another city to go to school she would stay with her uncle. Would I have to give him temp custody or guardianship or can I just give him authorization to sign school docs and take to Doctor if needed?

Re: family law

Written authorization for school and medical treatment should be adequate. Check with the school to determine what form is needed for this. Also check with your medical insurance carrier to determine what coverage is available when she living with the uncle.
