You need to retain an attorney in Solano County to raise paternity as an issue in the child support litigation. You will probably have to pay for the paternity testing. If as you imply you were not notified of the child support litigation you can have your attorney review the court files to see if proper notice was given you at that time. Once the court has made a paternity determination it is difficult to attack that determination later, especially if you are making support payments.

Without knowing the status and history of the support case and reviewing the court filings in the case, there is no way to tell you exactly what you can and should do. So Mr. Goff is correct that you are going to need to hire an attorney to pull the file and help you with this. My main office is in Contra Costa County, just south of Solano County, and I regularly practice in Solano County. If you would like my assistance, please feel free to contact me.
