Legal Question in Family Law in California

I filed the petition for legal separation on 5/22 but have not yet filed fl-140, 142 or 150. My wife has nor responded to the petition yet. Can I still file those forms?

First of all you don't file an FL-140, ever. You have someone serve the FL-140 on your opposing spouse and then you file a declaration that it was served on the Fl-141.

The FL-142 is a schedule of assets and debts. That form is also not filed with the court, and is clearly marked "THIS FORM SHOULD NOT BE FILED WITH THE COURT" in bold letters at the top.

The FL-150 is an income and expense declaration, and is only required if a request for order, or a motion is pending regarding support or attorney's fees.
