Gaurdianship

I would like to get custody of my 12 year old sister. When I was 8 cps removed me and my brother from the same situation my young sister is stuck in all these years later. I am 30 married w 2 young daughters. What is step 1? ...& 2 & 3 & 4

File a petition for guardianship. You might want to retain counsel or look for a self help book for the other steps.

This is too complicated of a process to ask for steps via lawguru. If you cannot afford an attorney, go to the local law library and ask the librarian to direct you to the books on guardianships. Ask for the "Rutter's" guide, but I don't believe I have ever seen a Rutter's guide for guardianships. If not, as for the California Forms of Pleading and Practice. These are a multi-volume set of practice guides that will show you, step by step, how to do a guardianship.
