harboring my runaway

My 16 yr. old ran away from her foster home. My rights were terminated in 1996. What can I be charged with for harboring my daughter? Does she have any rights to say where she lives?

file a petition with the court to allow your daughter to live with you. In this motion present the changes in your life, that is how you are now ready and able to take care of your child. The fact that she wants to live with you is important, and should be presented with the court. Also the reason why she wants to live with you.

Notify the department of child services that she has come to your home and wants to stay with you, and request that she be allowed to stay with you pending a court order that she be allowed to live with your.
