Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband & I bought a house together in CA 2 years before we were married. We put equal amounts down. He walked out after 4 yrs & for the last 9 yrs I have paid everything myself including 30K in upgrades. We are not divorced, he wants to sell & thinks he deserves half. I don't want to sell & I offered him 75K to buy him out. He refused. House is worth about 400K with 89K owed on loan. Where do I stand legally?

You need to sit down with a lawyer with all the records from buying the house and payments made after that, along with proof of when you decided the marriage was over. With out reviewing all those details there is no way to advise you on a number.
