Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have joint custody of my daughter, recently my daughter decided to live with her mom. For the past 4 1/2 years my ex-wife abandoned all her kids and left to Japan. For the past 4 1/2 years I have been paying for everything with no communication from my ex, she never called for birthdays, Christmas or anything. She never sent any money or presents. Now my-ex is seeking child support. What can I do with what owed to me?

Child support can only be ordered retroactively to the date you apply to the court for it, ditto for adjustments. So if you have a past order for support that has not been paid, you are entitled to collect all the back support. IF you never filed for support you are basically out of luck.
