Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can't get out of this marriage

I have been married a little over 10yrs.have known him 12yrs. Over the years he has been more out of work then in. But I have worked most of our married years. He started drinking heavily for the last 6yrs. for what reason I don't know. We were able to buy our own home which we will be in for 4yrs in October. Lately his health hasn't been very good probably because of his drinking. My problem is that we cannot keep the house on with him being out of work has much as he is and I don't love him anymore and want a divorce. I have told him this but he refuses to divorce me or sell the house. Also my daughter & Granddaughter who is 4 yrs. old lives with me. We have refinanced 3 times already and also have a home equity loan. We have had to do this for money since he hasn't worked much over the years. So we won't be getting much out of the house. But all I really want is to get away from this man who is dragging me down and finally have some peace of mind. Also, a couple of years ago he got a DUI which cost us a bit of money also. I have always been responsible in our marriage and tried to do the best I can. But he keeps costing us money with irresponsible things he does. I can't keep putting up with his problems.
