Legal Question in Family Law in California

Moving out of state.

Can my childs father stop me from moving out of state with our child if my current husband gets stationed (navy) in another state. We don't have a court issued custody agreement.

Re: Moving out of state.

That is a difficult question without reviewing the current judgment. I recently gave a seminar to attorneys about move away issues and they can be complex. You must start early. You must have a judgment of dissolution that deal with the legal custody. If you can call my office for a free phone consultation and fax me a copy of your dissolution judgment prior to the telephone consultation, I can give you an idea of what you need to do. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
