Legal Question in Family Law in California

I had a question. The Father of my kids live in Humblodt county with the kids at his mothers. I the Mother lives in Morro Bay. CPS just Took the kids from their father and placed them with the fathers ex-girlfriend. What are my rights and is there any way I could move the kids down to Morro Bay? Will I have to fight CPS or can I just get them?

It depends in large part on why the kids were with the father and not you in the first place. I suggest you contact CPS in Humboldt about what their position is on it, and if you get push-back, post here again with details on what they say. Ultimately you will need to get a new custody order naming you the custodial parent, but that doesn't deal with your immediate problem. Call Humboldt CPS.
