Religious training and holidays

In the case of a divorce where only one parent is Jewish, can visitation be stipulated stating that the child be allowed to attend religious school and major Jewish holidays?

There are various factors to consider, including what the parents did before the divorce was filed. I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!

Re: Religious training and holidays

depending on the age of the child and the religious practices during the marriage, it may be that this goal will be accomplished only through an agreement.

Without parental agreement it must be shown that such continued religious practice is in the best interests of the children. This must be weighed against the constitutional right of the other parent to religious freedom.
