Legal Question in Family Law in California

Rights of a father for an unborn child

If 2 people aren't married and the expectant mother moves to another state before the child is born, what rights does the father have to hold the mother legally in California?

Re: Rights of a father for an unborn child

None. He first has to establish that he is the father before a court would make any orders affecting the child. Plus, it sounds like there is no action pending at this time. So, you are free to move where ever you like. Good luck and thanks for inquiring.
