Legal Question in Family Law in California

Serving papers

I have tried to serve my Ex-husband OSC papers, and he keeps dodging me. I had my sister go to his job to serve him, he saw her and turned and went the other way. The next day he changed cars so we do not know what he is driving and when you go to the securty desk and ask for him he will not come to. I do not have a home address for him, and he definetly knows the paper work is trying to be served. What can I do?

Your sister had an opportunity to serve him and did not execute on it. I suggest that you hire a private investigator or professional process server as the next step.

Good luck to you.

Re: Serving papers

Use a process server. It will only cost about $30 and he can sub-serve your ex by serving his supervisor.
