Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been going through an ugly custody battle for 2 years. My ext husband took my child out of state and was granted temp emergency cust. I have max visitation with him outside of school. I am bipolar and have been in two accidents in the past two years, which he declares due to panic attacks. There is some truth in this, however my 8 year old told the mediator in June of this year that driving with mom makes me "nervous" and then confessed over the summer that it didn't. Daddy told him that word to use and he just remembers a no-fault accident from 2010. Scared him. I have a drivers license, valid and no driving violations except the one mentioned in June to judge. What must I do (what actions can I take) to get a turn-around of this decision? I have not driven my child since then.
