Legal Question in Family Law in California

Unemployment Compensation

I live out of state and was recently laid off and started receiving unemployment compensation. I have contacted the CS office and was told I qualified for a reduction and have a court date to set the new amount. Since I live out of state, once the new amount of CS is ordered, would a wage assignment go into effect the same way as if I had a job? Thanks for answering my question.
