civil harrassment & false arrest

A neighbor that we had on going problems with kicked in our front door after a verbal confrontation, made a citizens arrest on my husband, their group lied, the da dropped the charges from assault with deadly weapon to disturbing the peac. My husband went after him after he kicked our locked door in and entered our dwelling. My husband never touched anyone because I restrained him and the police noted no visable marks on anyone. I got a restraining order on these people, and i would like to find out what I can I do in small or civil court to retrieve my financial losses, and for my stress and punative damages???????

I would need to see who can bring what witnesses as well as the police reports and restraining orders. However, it sounds like you should hire an attorney to sue for harassment, destruction of property, trespass, assault, battery, invasion of privacy, and more. Your neighbors clearly violated your rights when they kicked your door and entered your house. Criminal charges should be filed against them ASAP. Also, you can sue them for variety of causes of action, but I don't think any lawyer will take this case on a contingency. Unless, your neighbors are very rich.
