Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

my daughter and her boyfriend broke up and he's threatening to sue for damages to his clothes. They dont live together, my wife is leasing the apartment, he does not have permission from us to leave his belongings there. Can he legally file claim? Thanks

How about just giving his clothes back?

damages to his clothes? Really he is such a rich fashionista that there would be damages for his clothes? And then he would file and suit and seek damages?I seriously doubt it but I guess he could. Just figure out how to get his clothes to him.

He could certainly "legally" file a claim, and your daughter would have to defend against it.

The big question is whether he would win. Damages to clothes are often claims with virtually no value.

I agree that you need to return the boyfriend's belongings and close this chapter of your lives.
