Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I gave my friend 3 of my prescription vicodins for his leg pain and got caught by a school camera. The police were contacted and they talked to me and took down notes. They did not arrest me or issue a ticket. I just got suspended from school. Should i still worry about being charged with a felony or misdemeanor?

Probably not. You had no real criminal intent, were not selling the drugs, and trying to help someone out with a medical condition. Unless you live in a small town where the police have nothing to do, they will consider this too minor to worry about. Do not stir anything up by calling the police or District Attorney's Office to see what is going on. See if the school is willing to expunge your suspension if you keep out of any trouble for the rest of the school year.
