landlord/tenant

what are the legal remedys if my landlord removed my water meter 14 days before i was served an unlawful detainer? this is a small part of the greater issue, for which im seeking legal council.

Your explanation doesn't state whether the removal of the water meter interrupted your water service. If it did you can raise it as an affirmative defense for habitability and/or for constructive eviction. You may also be able to file a separate lawsuit against the landlord for damages depending on a number of other facts which your attorney can explore with you.
