Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

The legal process one must go through to start a charity walk.

I am a 16 year old student and wish to organize an AIDS walk for members of my school to participate in. I am wondering what the legal implications of a such a wish are- I don't want to break the law, I want to help AIDs victims. I need to know all legal matters concerning the organization of a charity walk- all proceeds to charity.

You should start by contacting the city of West Hollywood. I am sure there is someone in that city who can assist you. It's a progressive city with a large gay and lesbian population. It hosts an annual gay pride parade, and given its experience in activism, it should have some good information for you. Good luck.
