Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I live in upland ca. 97186....i have a non-op car parked in my driveway. im being forced to move it. on my street alone there are 3 cars with the same situation although all are covered with car covers. can i be forced to move the car or can i cover it like the rest on my street?

I assume the City or local officials are ordering you to move the vehicle; it probably is in violation of local laws. Ask the entity which law is being broken and point out the other vehicles are not being ordered moved. But I think they have the legal right to make you move it.

You can't park a nonoperative car on a public street and not expect it to get towed. The argument that others are doing it is not a defense. You need to store it somewhere legally, such as your garage or a separate lot.
