Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I made a special appearance at a motion to quash service of summons in a ud and won. The Plaintiff's attorney tried to serve me in the hall. Is his service valid?

The service is not necessarily invalid just because the attempt took place in the hallway of the courthouse. But congratulations on winning your Motion to Quash.
